Anam Cara began as a feeling long before it had a name. Years of travelling through far-flung corners and every beautiful, unexpected place in between - gathering moments, friendships, and a growing sense that what we all long for most is simple - connection. To belong. To return, again and again, to the people and places that make us feel most ourselves.

From that longing came a sanctuary built not of walls, but of practice, presence, and the kind of connection that needs no performance.

Behind Anam Cara
Harriet Dora Gove

My approach is rooted in somatic practice and nervous system awareness, a doorway to meet our true selves. Drawing from classical non-dual Tantrik philosophy, Embodied Flow™, Yin yoga, and Traditional Chinese Medicine's Five Element theory, everything I offer is shaped by a belief in our capacity to slow down, open up, and be with the full spectrum of human experience.

Yoga, for me, is more than a series of postures. It is a journey towards a grounded state of being, a practice of coming home to your body. I aspire to create a space where things can be felt and allowed to move through you, without any pressure to perform spirituality or become someone else.

My practices offer depth, but come with complete freedom. Expect philosophy, breathwork, somatics, and stillness, woven together through meditation, soundscapes, and sequencing. An invitation to move with your own intuition and embodied wisdom, and to gently notice what might be limiting life experienced to the fullest.

I'm passionate about connecting soul friends and sharing uncomplicated, nurturing practices. That hold space for relationship to the wider world that shapes our lives.

Throughout my path I've been fortunate to learn from remarkable teachers, with over 400 hours of training. Notable influences include Colette Davis, Persia Juliet, Evy Faro, Ty Fielding, Tara Brach, Dr. Jade Owl, and Adyashanti.

The Name

The name was inspired by the work of John O'Donohue - a book gifted by a friend that became a travel companion and daily mantra. His Friendship Blessing felt completely aligned with the ethos of this community:

"May you be blessed with good friends. May you learn to be a good friend to yourself. May you be able to journey to that place in your soul where there is great love, warmth, feeling, and forgiveness... May you always be in the gentle nest of belonging with your anam ċara."
